At Reston Sunrise Dentistry, Dr. Hanah Pham’s office, we specialize in Sedation Dentistry but we do general and cosmetic dentistry for children and adults of all ages.  Dr. Hanah Pham and her team are areas leader in delivering compassionate dental care to people suffering from dental phobias and for the population with the special needs.   With years of experience treating this patient population, we proudly relate success stories of patients who come to us from all over the region.

Our patients can attest that dental phobia is paralyzing fear that keeps people from obtaining regular dental care.  Our patient population ranges from as young as two years old to as old as 79 years old.  We know that an estimated 9-15% of all Americans avoid regular dental care due to fear surrounding the dental visit. This translates to some 30 - 40 million people so afraid of dental treatment that they avoid it altogether.

If you or someone you love has a dental phobia, you know how shame and embarrassment about one's teeth and smile can dramatically affect a person's quality-of-life, social life and self-esteem. When you finally gather the inner courage to make the first call to a dentist, you are half way there.  Let our specially trained staff complete the second half for you. You will be greeted by dental professionals who understand the very real nature of your fears and without judgment.

Our team supports your unique needs as a phobic patient from the moment you make the first call. We ask about your dental history, your particular concerns, and any history of trauma to the mouth. We listen to your story and appreciate the magnitude of your fear. We then discuss the easiest and safest way to bring you the comfort and care you need.

We design a treatment plan in which all treatment can be completed in as few as one comprehensive visit using optimal sedation options that are tailored to individual needs. If you choose the option of Intravenous Sedation (know as I.V. Sedation), it is administered and monitored by a board certified Anesthesiologist on staff. This way Dr. Hanah Pham can focus on delivering excellent dental treatment and the Anesthesiologist will provide the safest sedation environment possible.   The way IV Sedation is administered at this office is above any standards of sedation options you can find.   At this office, mainly for safety reasons, IV Sedation is not administered by a dentist or a nurse anesthetist and it is not general anesthesia (general anesthesia requires a breathing tube, a ventilator, and  much more drugs used and most need to be administered in a hospital settings).   Although, Dr. Hanah Pham is certified to deliver I.V. sedation to patients and is certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), she prefers to focus on delivering the best dental care possible during this IV Sedation.
