Digital Panoramics

A digital panoramic x-ray is a very impressive imaging machinery that allows Dr. Hanah Pham and associates to identify many structural issues, locate anatomy of the jaw, and detect impacted wisdom teeth not normally visible in the mouth. The ADA recommends to have a panoramic x-ray done every 3-5 years in healthy individuals to detect for bone abnormalities such as cysts, tumors, and impacted teeth. You will be directed to the panoramic x-ray machine and our cordial staff will place a lead apron, and once positioned in the machine it will rotate a full 360 degrees around your head. This captures the view of teeth, head, sinuses, and bones.

This is not a diagnostic x-ray for dental decay, it is to have a general idea of the anatomy of the sinuses, the joints, the mandibular nerve canals, and general bone level of the teeth. Dr. Hanah Pham believes in minimizing radiation exposure and unnecessary cost for the patient. Instead of sending the patient to an imaging center for a CT scan, she creatively adds a measuring device onto the panoramic x-rays that allows her to view, measure, and plan for her surgical cases. Dentistry is not an exact science like any medical field; being highly-trained, thinking outside of the box, and using her creativity she's able to transform patients' smiles to their satisfaction with success, ranging from simple to complex cases.
